"The whole problem can be stated quite simply by asking, 'Is there a meaning to music?' My answer would be, 'Yes.' And 'Can you state in so many words what the meaning is?' My answer to that would be, 'No.'
Aaron Copland
US composer (1900 - 1990)
"I don't know anything about music. In my line you don't have to."
Elvis Presley
US rock singer (1935 - 1977)
"Music is the only language in which you cannot say a mean or sarcastic thing."
John Erskine
US author & educator (1879 - 1951)
"I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music."
George Eliot
English novelist (1819 - 1880)

My Musical Experience |
|
|
I grew up in a musical family. My mom has always played
piano and organ for church and my dad plays trumpet,
sings and leads choirs.
I started playing drums in the 5th grade and had the
opportunity to record and travel around the world.
I played drums and percussion for band and orchestra
throughout high school. One of the highlights was playing
a special concert with the Ottawa Symphony directed
by the famous composer, Aaron Copland. He actually
made me go out and get 2x4s to achieve the loud wood
sound effect he wanted.
I have enjoyed playing with Last Chance Flight (Larry Campbell & Friends) for several years. |

The
Beatles were a talented, revolutionary influence
on culture and music. They gain new fans all
the time as young people are introduced to their
music. We have discovered Liverpool, a
Beatles Tribute Band and watch them anytime
they perform in the area. They are extremely
talented musicians, accurately playing every
note on authentic, vintage instruments. Check
out their website and join us for a fun experience
sometime. http://www.liverpoolband.com |
